Luano DEO Urges Poll Staff to Uphold Integrity During 2026 Election Training

Luano District Electoral Officer Emmanuel Lukupwa has urged poll staff trainees to uphold integrity and professionalism as preparations for the 2026 General Election get underway.

Speaking during the official opening of the 2026 General Election all-staff training at Luano Town Council Chamber, Mr. Lukupwa said the Electoral Commission of Zambia has placed great trust in the trainees who will manage the electoral process at polling level.

He encouraged participants to actively engage in all training sessions and to familiarize themselves with the Electoral Code of Conduct and operational procedures that will guide them on polling day. He further emphasized the need for discipline, punctuality, and impartiality in the discharge of their duties.

Mr. Lukupwa reaffirmed that the Commission remains committed to ensuring the 2026 General Election is conducted in a free, fair, transparent, peaceful and credible manner.
