"Zambia First, Politics Second." - Bishop Billy Mfula

Advocates for Zambia as a Christian nation have urged the Electoral Commission of Zambia to ensure justice, fairness, and transparency in the 13th August general elections. Speaking at a Lusaka press briefing, Bishop Billy Mfula, Organization Chairperson and Overseer of Jesus Anointed Ministries, said the polls must be guided by the country’s Christian values and conducted with integrity to guarantee free and credible results.

The Bishop reminded political parties and citizens that national interest must take priority over party loyalty. He noted that Zambia has survived past UNIP, MMD, and PF governments, and the current UPND administration should also recognize that the nation is greater than any political party. According to him, every Zambian’s primary identity should be to the country before any political affiliation.

Bishop Mfula also called for peace before, during, and after the elections, stressing that Zambians will continue living together regardless of the outcome.

He urged citizens to love and protect the nation, pointing to the red on the national flag as a reminder of the blood shed for Zambia’s freedom. The group pledged to continue praying for peaceful and credible elections.
