Zambia Futsal Ends Tanzania Test Series on High Note Ahead of AFCON

The Zambia national futsal team has concluded a productive two-match test series against Tanzania, with head coach Andrea Cristoforetti expressing confidence in the squad's development.

Speaking after the matches, the coach highlighted the importance of these fixtures in testing new players who have previously seen limited action. He noted that the squad successfully managed the physical toll of playing two high-intensity matches within a span of three days, while also creating numerous attacking opportunities.

Looking ahead, the technical staff is shifting their focus to tactical refinements as they prepare for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations. The coach identified the tournament as an exceptionally difficult challenge, emphasizing that success in the continental competition will rely on elite physical conditioning and tactical discipline.

The team’s primary objective for this cycle is to surpass their previous performance and secure a spot in the semi-finals, navigating a field of experienced and physically imposing opponents.

While the team missed a chance to compete in a high-profile tournament in Thailand against world-class sides like Russia and Thailand, the coaching staff remains focused on a structured path forward.
