PF Delivered. Its Only Problem Was Caderism - Kambwili

The aspiring Roan Member of Parliament for Roan Constituency, Chishimba Kambwili has defended the Patriotic Front's record in government, saying its biggest shortcoming was caderism, not development.

Speaking at a Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance campaign rally in Luapula Province yesterday, Mr. Kambwili said the PF administration delivered on infrastructure and other development programmes, but acknowledged that caderism damaged the party's image.

"The PF government delivered. The only issue it had was caderism," Mr. Kambwili told supporters.

He said Brian Mundubile, the Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance presidential candidate, has assured Zambians that caderism will not return if he is elected President.

According to Mr. Kambwili, the alliance is committed to providing leadership that promotes development while ensuring that the excesses associated with political cadres are not repeated.

The remarks come as political parties continue to campaign ahead of the 13 August General Election, with candidates outlining their plans and contrasting their records and visions for Zambia's future.
