President Hakainde Hichilema has acknowledged delays in the completion of the Mufulira-Ndola Road and other infrastructure projects, saying his party needs another term in office to finish the outstanding works. Speaking during a community engagement in Mufulira, the President admitted that not all development projects could be completed within one term and appealed to voters to renew his mandate in the August 13 general elections.

The President noted significant progress in several sectors but noted that key infrastructure projects, including roads, remain incomplete. He assured residents that the government would return to complete the Mufulira-Ndola Road and other projects if re-elected, adding that continuity in government is essential to delivering on promises made to the people.

He also urged Zambians to vote responsibly, saying the work his administration has started should be allowed to continue.
